Our Committees

Our club is divided into different committees that work together to ensure that we meet the needs of our community.

All members are encouraged to actively participate and give suggestons for improving our club throughout the year.

Fairfax Kiwanis - Friends of City of Fairfax Library Scholarship The Kiwanis Club of Fairfax and the Friends of the City of Fairfax Regional Library jointly award two scholarships of $4,000 each to eligible Key Club seniors graduating from the following Fairfax High Schools: Annandale, Centreville, Fairfax, Oakton, JW Robinson Secondary, Thomas Jefferson HS for Science and Technology, Westfield HS and WT Woodson HS. Award is based primarily on demonstrated leadership and service, and secondarily on academic standing. Financial need is not a factor.
Fund Raising Coordinate fund raising efforts for the club
Historian Collect and file artifacts, certificates, pictures, etc. of the club.
Interclubs Coordinate interclub activities with other Kiwanis clubs.
Meals for Young Minds This project provides weekend meal packages to local elementary school children.
Membership
Nominating/Succession Planning Committee Prepare members for leadership roles within the club.
